In June and July 2026, the Internal Security Department of Lao Cai Provincial Police coordinated with the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions to ensure security and order for 5 delegations with 303 people with outstanding prestige among ethnic minorities to visit, study, and exchange experiences in many localities across the country, according to the E-Portal of Lao Cai Provincial Police.
This is an activity to implement the plans of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions under the National Target Program for socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Delegates representing 99 communes and wards of Lao Cai province have made many contributions in propagating and mobilizing people to comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State and participate in local movements.
Through field trips and practical learning, prestigious people are exposed to typical socio-economic development models, supplementing knowledge and experience to serve propaganda and mobilization of ethnic minorities at the grassroots level.
In the program, the Internal Security Department coordinated to provide information on the socio-economic situation of Lao Cai province in the first 6 months of 2026. Ethnic and religious policies and policies for prestigious people continue to be fully, promptly, and targeted. The election of National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term in the province took place successfully, with a voter turnout of 99.998%.
Functional forces also provide information on the security and order situation; at the same time, propagate and raise awareness so that reputable people can identify and be vigilant against the plots and tricks of hostile forces taking advantage of ethnic and religious issues to divide the great national unity bloc.
Representatives of the delegations, Mr. Giang Chu Ly (Mong ethnicity, La Pan Tan village, Pung Luong commune) and Mr. Sao Do Gia (Ha Nhi ethnicity, Y Ty commune) expressed their gratitude for the attention of all levels and sectors; and at the same time proposed to continue to strengthen the provision of information about new policies, organize training classes on propaganda and mediation skills and pay attention to timely implementation of regimes and policies for prestigious people.
According to the program, the delegations visited the Village of Culture and Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, worked with the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, offered flowers at President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and expressed gratitude to heroes and martyrs at many red addresses across the country.
