The Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee has just organized a conference to summarize the work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2026, according to the Thai Nguyen Provincial e-Portal.
In the first 6 months of 2026, the Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee will promote propaganda and mobilize Catholic compatriots to well implement the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State; actively respond to patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Fatherland Front.
Promoting the spirit of living "good life, beautiful religion", in the first 6 months of 2026, Catholic compatriots actively participated in social security activities such as supporting the construction and repair of houses for poor households, awarding scholarships, giving gifts to poor households... with a total value of nearly 1.2 billion VND.
In particular, in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, Thai Nguyen province had 10 Catholic believers elected as People's Council deputies at all levels, continuing to affirm the role and responsibility of Catholic compatriots in the socio-political life of the locality.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dam Quang Tuyen, Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, acknowledged and praised the results achieved by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee in the past time.
Mr. Dam Quang Tuyen requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee to continue to closely follow grassroots levels, strengthen coordination to resolve the legitimate needs of parishes and parishes according to the provisions of law; promote propaganda and mobilize Catholic compatriots to promote patriotic traditions, actively participate in emulation movements, contributing to consolidating the great national unity bloc; and at the same time carefully prepare the conditions for successfully organizing the 3rd Congress of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Catholic Solidarity Committee, term 2027 - 2032.
