Quang Binh - On January 3, Quang Binh province simultaneously launched a groundbreaking ceremony to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses throughout the province.

The total estimated capital is about 98 billion VND, all drawn from the Quang Binh provincial budget and the 5% savings of regular state budget expenditures in 2024.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony to remove temporary houses of a household in Trung Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district, Mr. Le Ngoc Quang - Secretary of Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee said that the groundbreaking ceremony to remove temporary and dilapidated houses not only has the meaning of material support, but is also a deeply humane act, demonstrating the responsibility of the entire political system and the spirit of solidarity of the whole society.

At the same time, it is also an opportunity to promote the combined strength of domestic and socialized resources, from organizations, businesses and voluntary contributions of the people.

The Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee called on all levels of the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front, unions, organizations, businesses and people to join hands, unite and be determined to complete the goal of eliminating temporary houses for 2,154 poor and near-poor households across the province before the Party Congresses of districts, towns and cities.

Mr. Le Ngoc Quang requested that in the coming time, Party committees, authorities, fronts, and organizations continue to promote propaganda, mobilization, and spreading the sense of responsibility, raising awareness so that the movement to eliminate temporary housing truly becomes a movement of the whole society and the whole people. The whole province of Quang Binh joins hands and hearts to bring a better life to the people.

Quang Binh province strives to eliminate 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households by September 2025 to contribute to the achievement of the poverty reduction target set out in the Resolution of the 17th Quang Binh Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, as well as in the spirit of the emulation movement "Joining hands for the poor - Leaving no one behind".
