Recorded on April 30, Independence Palace became a destination attracting a large number of people and tourists from home and abroad. From early morning, the ticket sales area was crowded with people queuing, lines of people stretching to wait for their turn to visit.
Despite having to wait in the sun, many people still patiently lined up, maintained order and excitedly visited the historical site.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dat (74 years old, Hanoi) said that her family came to Ho Chi Minh City from the previous night to be present early at the relic.
I am very honored to be here on April 30th. These days are very touching to me, because this is an opportunity to remember the merits of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the country" - Ms. Dat shared.
Sharing the same feeling, Mr. Tran Minh (An Nhon ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said that he took advantage of the holiday to take his family to visit to better understand history. Although crowded, people still maintain order when visiting.

Ms. Nguyen Minh Anh (a student in Ho Chi Minh City) said that this is the first time she has come to Independence Palace on a big holiday.
I feel very proud and touched to be standing in a place with so many historical imprints like this. This is also an opportunity for the younger generation to better understand the value of peace today" - Ms. Minh Anh shared.

According to records, the number of visitors flocking to Independence Palace increased sharply during the holiday, not only to visit but also to learn about and preserve the historical imprints of the nation. Many tourists then continued to move to Nha Rong Wharf and other relic sites in the city.
The fact that historical destinations in Ho Chi Minh City attract a large number of people during the holiday shows that the need to learn about history, appreciate the past and experience culture is increasingly being concerned, especially among young people.
