Dong Thap has just issued a plan to develop social insurance and health insurance participants by 2030 in the province, with the goal of expanding the coverage of social security, ensuring health care rights and stabilizing people's lives.
According to the plan, agencies, units, and localities are required to proactively coordinate in implementing tasks and solutions to develop the number of people participating in social insurance and health insurance; clearly define annual targets for the period 2026 - 2030, striving to complete the goals assigned by the Government by 2030.
The plan also aims to strengthen coordination between departments, agencies, branches, and localities in propaganda, mobilization, exploitation and development of the number of people participating in social insurance and health insurance; creating consensus in organizing the implementation of social security policies in the province.
By 2030, Dong Thap strives for a universal health insurance coverage rate of 100%; a social insurance coverage rate of 35%.
To achieve the above objectives, the province has set out many groups of key tasks and solutions; in which, sectors and localities will continue to disseminate and thoroughly grasp the guidelines, policies, and guiding documents of the Central Government on social insurance and health insurance; develop and organize the implementation of plans and solutions suitable for each target group.
In addition, Dong Thap province focuses on developing a system to support the development of the number of people participating in social insurance and health insurance; promoting the communication of policies and laws on social insurance and health insurance.
Functional agencies in the province continue to review and simplify administrative procedures, promote the application of information technology, digital transformation; do not require people and businesses to submit dossier components that have been shared data; strengthen the use of online public services; strengthen inspection work.
