On May 17, at the Special National Relic, Ba Be Lake Scenic Landscape (Ba Be commune), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the "Footprints on the Blue Lake Region" race, attracting nearly 700 athletes from many provinces and cities across the country to participate, according to the Electronic Information Portal (TTĐT) of Thai Nguyen province.
The tournament includes 6 events for men and women in the 5km, 10km and 21km distances.
The highlight of the race is the running routes passing through many beautiful locations around Ba Be Lake - a place with picturesque landscapes, fresh air and rich local cultural identity. Through the tournament, athletes and tourists not only experience sports activities amidst nature but also have the opportunity to explore the beauty of Ba Be land and Thai Nguyen tourism.

At the end of the tournament, the organizing committee awarded 60 prizes to athletes with outstanding achievements. Each competition content has 10 prizes, including: 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize, 3 Fourth Prizes and 4 Consolation Prizes.

The "Footprints on the Lake District" race is an activity within the opening program of the Thai Nguyen tourism season 2026, contributing to creating a vibrant atmosphere, promoting the image of destinations, and promoting tourism development associated with sports, experiences and local culture.
