Hanoi honors the historical value of the Hai Ba Trung uprising

Hanoi - On March 24, the 1986 anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising and the opening of the Hai Ba Trung Temple Festival took place solemnly.

On March 24th (ie February 6th of the lunar calendar of the year Binh Ngo), at the Special National Relic Temple - Pagoda - Dinh Hai Ba Trung (Huong Vien street), the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Ba Trung ward organized the 1986th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising and the opening of the Hai Ba Trung Temple Festival 2026 in a solemn atmosphere.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha; Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem - Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Hanoi City; along with leaders of Hai Ba Trung ward and a large number of people and tourists from all directions.

The activities take place to commemorate and express gratitude for the merits of the Trung Sisters and the insurgents in the uprising to drive out the Eastern Han army and regain independence and self-reliance for the nation.

Den - Chua - Dinh Hai Ba Trung is a unique and rare relic complex in the center of the Capital, nổi bật with "nội công ngoại quốc" architecture. The relic currently preserves many precious artifacts such as 27 royal decrees of the Le and Nguyen dynasties; eight worship statues; two ancient stone steles recording the story of Hai Ba; two sets of palanquins of the Nguyen Dynasty.

With typical historical and cultural values, in 2019, the Temple - Pagoda - Dinh Hai Ba Trung complex was ranked as a special national relic by the Prime Minister.

Not only architectural value, the relic complex also carries a strong cultural value with traditional festivals held in 3 localities in Hanoi, showing community cohesion and respect for the Two Queens. Rituals such as worship, water ceremony, and procession of Red River water to the temple to perform the Moc duc ritual are maintained solemnly and sacredly.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Chairman of Hai Ba Trung Ward People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee - emphasized the patriotism and indomitable will of Hai Ba Trung in the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland. Over time, the image and merits of Hai Ba Trung have always been cherished and engraved by the people.

The anniversary and opening ceremony of the festival is not only an opportunity to review the heroic history of the nation, but also contributes to preserving and promoting the value of traditional cultural heritage, fostering patriotism and national pride in each citizen. Thereby, continuing to affirm the sustainable vitality of historical and cultural values in contemporary life, spreading a profound educational meaning to today's and future generations.
