On April 7, the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa province said that it has a plan to implement vocational training for people with disabilities in the province in 2026, in order to concretize the Party and State's guidelines and policies on supporting and creating conditions for people with disabilities to have jobs and stabilize their lives.
According to the plan, in 2026, Khanh Hoa province will support vocational training for 50 people with disabilities. Training majors and organizing units will be selected based on the needs and capabilities of learners as well as the actual requirements of the labor market.
The implementation cost is allocated from the vocational training fund for people with disabilities belonging to the autonomous funding source that has been approved.
The goal of the plan is to ensure that 100% of people with disabilities after completing the course are equipped with vocational skills, thereby having the opportunity to be introduced to jobs or create jobs suitable to their own conditions.
To achieve the above objectives, the Department of Education and Training will sign training order contracts with qualified vocational education institutions; and at the same time strengthen inspection and supervision of the training organization process, acceptance and contract liquidation after completion.
Vocational education institutions are responsible for coordinating with the People's Committees of communes and wards to organize counseling and enrollment for the right subjects; deploy training, inspection, graduation recognition and certificate issuance according to regulations. In addition, units proactively link with businesses to introduce jobs for students or find partners to consume products, and support people with disabilities to create jobs after training.
The Department of Education and Training also requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to coordinate in reviewing and confirming the list of people with disabilities who need vocational training; and at the same time promote propaganda and mobilize people to participate in the program.
The synchronous implementation of solutions is expected to improve the effectiveness of vocational training, contributing to creating sustainable livelihoods for people with disabilities in Khanh Hoa province.
