The level of financial support for cooking for boarding students in ethnic minority and mountainous areas... eating and staying at school is 4,738,500 VND/month/1 norm.

According to Article 7 of Decree No. 66/2025/ND-CP stipulating policies for nursery children, students, trainees in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, coastal and island areas and educational institutions with nursery children and students enjoying the following policies:

Ethnic minority boarding schools are invested in facilities and equipment according to the Government's regulations on investment and operation conditions in the field of education.

Being supported with funds to purchase, supplement, and repair physical education and sports equipment, musical instruments, television sets and other items serving cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities for boarding students with a support level of 180,000 VND/boarding student/school year.

Financial support to organize annual health check-ups for boarding students, establish common medicine cabinets for students, purchase common medicines with enough medicine to meet disease prevention requirements and handle first aid cases with a support level of 180,000 VND/boarding student/school year.

Each month, they are supported with electricity and water costs for studying and living of boarding students at the school with a norm of 15KW of electricity/month/boarding student and 3m3 of water/month/boarding student according to local regulations and are entitled to no more than 9 months/school year.

In places that do not have conditions to provide electricity and water services or are without electricity and water, schools are allowed to use funds to purchase lighting equipment and clean water for students.

In addition, the level of financial support for cooking for boarding students to eat and stay at school according to the norm is that for every 45 boarding students, they are entitled to 1 support norm of 4,738,500 VND/month, the surplus of 20 boarding students or more is calculated as 1 norm. In case there are less than 45 boarding students, 1 norm is calculated. The support period is no more than 9 months/school year.

Funds for managing boarding students outside of class hours according to the norm 45 boarding students are entitled to 1 support norm of 2,050,000 VND/month, the surplus of 20 or more boarding students is calculated 1 norm. In case there are less than 45 boarding students, 1 norm is calculated. The support period is no more than 9 months/school year.
