Lao Cai - After a thunderstorm that caused heavy damage, dozens of households in Thuong Bang La were supported with funds to re-produce and gradually stabilize their lives.

After the damage caused by the thunderstorm in March, many households in Thuong Bang La commune have gradually alleviated difficulties when they received timely support to restore their livelihoods.

On the morning of April 21, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuong Bang La commune, Lao Cai province, in coordination with the Commune Relief Committee, organized the handover of support funds to households affected by natural disasters.

The support handover ceremony was attended by local leaders, representatives of departments, branches, unions and a large number of people.

Accordingly, in this phase, 55 households received support with a level of 2 to 3 million VND per household, with a total budget of more than 120 million VND.

The funding is deducted from the Commune's Relief Fund, mobilized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels from organizations, individuals and philanthropists.

Although the value of each support is not large, in the context that many households have just suffered damage to their houses, crops, and livestock, this is considered a practical source of encouragement, helping people have conditions to reinvest in production. Many households have proactively used funds to buy seedlings and breeding animals, gradually restoring livelihoods after natural disasters.

Local leaders said that timely support for people not only contributes to reducing immediate difficulties but also creates motivation for households to quickly stabilize their lives and restore economic development.

At the same time, this is also an activity that clearly shows the spirit of mutual affection and sharing in the community, especially when people encounter risks due to natural disasters.

In the coming time, the Thuong Bang La commune government will continue to review and grasp the living situation of affected households, and at the same time mobilize more social resources to support people to restore production and stabilize in the long term.
