On March 31, in La Lay commune, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Federation of Quang Tri province organized the "Border March" program in 2026, responding to Youth Month with many practical activities towards grassroots levels.
The program was attended by leaders of the Provincial Youth Union, Provincial Border Guards, representatives of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Da Nang City, local authorities and a large number of union members, youth, and people in the area.

At the program, the Organizing Committee presented many meaningful projects and gifts such as the "Lighting up the border" project, a volleyball field in La Lay commune; a clean water well in Ba Long commune; water purifiers and water tanks for A Ngo Primary & Secondary School. At the same time, 30 scholarships (1 million VND each) were awarded to students in difficult circumstances, and 40 social security gifts for households.
On this occasion, the Provincial Border Guard also awarded scholarships to 5 students in the program "Raising Steps for Children to School - Foster Children of Border Guard Stations". The total value of works and gifts exceeded 230 million VND.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, many activities were deployed simultaneously such as the inauguration of civil works, medical examinations, free medicine distribution to people, visiting prestigious village elders and giving gifts to La Lay International Border Gate Border Guard Station.

Within the framework of the program, from March 30 to April 1, the Provincial Youth Union - Provincial Vietnam Youth Federation in coordination with Project Vietnam Foundation organized the activity "Health for Children - Joining Hands for the Community", providing medical examinations, free medicine distribution and gifts to children and people in Ba Long commune.
The series of activities has contributed to promoting the pioneering role of youth in caring for the lives of people in border areas, while strengthening the connection between union members and youth and the community, joining hands to protect national border sovereignty.
