The Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions will continue to improve institutions and policies related to ethnic and religious work

The Party Committee of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions and the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission have just held a Conference to sign the 2025-2030 Coordination Program and the 2025 Coordination Plan.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of Propaganda Department and Central Committee Nguyen Trong Nghia chaired the Conference; Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Ethnic Minority and Religion and Mr. Lai Xuan Mon - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department and Central Mobilization Department co -chaired the Conference.

At the conference, the two agencies agreed to approve the work coordination program between the Party Committee of the Nationality and Religion and the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Committee for the period 2025-2030 and the plan to coordinate in 2025.

Advising on the development, preliminary review, and summary of the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State on ethnic and religious work.

Guiding, inspecting and supervising the organization of dissemination and implementation of the Party's guidelines and the State's laws and policies related to ethnic and religious work.

Exchange information on the implementation of ethnic and religious work tasks at central and local agencies; the situation of people in general, ethnic minorities, and religious people in particular.

Conduct investigations and surveys on ethnic and religious situations; guide the development and promotion of advanced models.

Orient, propagate, and mobilize people, organizations, and religious individuals to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies; eliminate bad customs; promote the will to rise out of poverty sustainably;

Ensure freedom of belief and religion of organizations and individuals, and equality between religions. Fight against acts of taking advantage of ethnic and religious issues to incite and divide the great national unity bloc.

Theoretical research and practical summary, scientific research are strategic, basic and urgent related to ethnic groups and religions.

Advising and proposing to the Party and State on the work of cadres of ethnic minorities and cadres working in religious work.

Building a digital database, digital nation on ethnic groups and religions.

Review and propose amendments, supplements, and adjustments to inadequacies and overlaps in policy and legal regulations, and abolish inappropriate policies.

The Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions direct the concretization of this coordination program into an annual coordination plan for implementation, regularly exchanging and providing information on the situation and results of ethnic and religious work of the political system from the Central to local levels.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - said that in recent times, both the Commission and the Ministry have implemented many coordination activities with relevant ministries and branches to carry out political and social tasks related to the fields of ethnicity and religion.

In the coming time, the Committee and the Ministry will continue to improve institutions and policies related to ethnic and religious work, ensuring better service to the people.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia also noted that it is necessary to strengthen information, propaganda, and public opinion orientation; it is necessary to clearly identify the role and position of ethnic and religious work in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, as well as "taking the people as the root", as the goal and driving force of all activities.
