On August 27, information from the Navy Command said that the Naval Academy had just coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to organize a ceremony to announce and award the decision "The Navy sponsors fishermen's children" to 2 children in difficult circumstances, in Dak Lak province.
Colonel Ho Thanh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Naval Academy, headed the working delegation.
At the ceremony, the Naval Academy announced the decision to continue to sponsor Tran Doan Tien Thanh (6th grade student), daughter of Mrs. Doan Thi Diem, Dan Phuoc neighborhood, Xuan Dai ward and Nguyen Thi Tuyet Linh (8th grade student), daughter of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Not, in Tien Chau village, Tuy An Dong commune, Dak Lak province.

On this occasion, the Naval Academy presented each child with 2 million VND, books and school supplies on the occasion of the new school year, contributing to material support and encouraging children to have more will to rise up in their studies and life.

Ms. Doan Thi Diem, mother of Tran Doan Tien Thanh, said that the family still faces many difficulties. The concern and sharing of the Naval Academy is a source of motivation for him to try to study, live responsibly and not disappoint the concern of the aunts and uncles in the Academy.
Mr. Ho Hong Nam, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Xuan Dai ward, said that the program "The Navy sponsors fishermen's children" contributes to the Party Committee and local authorities in caring for fishermen's children in difficult circumstances. The companionship of the Naval Academy helps people to be more determined to reach out to sea, stick to the sea, develop the economy, and participate in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
Colonel Ho Thanh Hoa emphasized that continuing to sponsor the children is the responsibility and affection of officers, lecturers, students, staff, and soldiers of the Naval Academy, contributing to sharing difficulties and creating motivation for the children to study and strive.
In the coming time, the Naval Academy will coordinate with families and local authorities to regularly grasp the situation, encourage and support children in the process of studying and growing up.
