The workshop gathered nearly 50 speakers who are leading domestic and foreign politicians and experts, with the direct and online participation of many prestigious international scholars, officials, diplomatic delegations and businesses from many countries around the world.
Notably, the message "Solidarity in Uncertainty" is a strong call for common interests such as respect for international law, ensuring freedom of navigation, resolving disputes by peaceful means, protecting the marine environment and promoting sustainable development in the region.
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong - said that the theme of the workshop was "Solidarity in Uncertainty" not only reflecting today's international reality, but also demonstrating the aspirations of the times.
Peace and stability in the East Sea is not only the benefit of a few coastal countries but also a prerequisite for the prosperity of the entire East Asia, Indian Ocean and Pacific Ring Road.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong affirmed that Vietnam is steadfast in its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development.
Vietnam attaches importance to maintaining peace and stability in the region; promotes the role of international law, especially the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). This is the legal framework for the platform to manage all activities at sea.
Vietnam is committed to resolving all disputes by peaceful means, building trust, and managing them differently responsibly. Vietnam is ready to cooperate with all partners to ensure that the sea and ocean are a space for peace, stability and prosperity.
Vietnam is proud to be one of the first 60 countries to ratify the Biodiversity Protection Agreement outside the National Area of Responsibility (BBNJ), affirming its strong commitment to international law and multilateralism.
Vietnam continues to support ASEAN's central role and actively contribute to ASEAN-led processes. In a constructive spirit, Vietnam continues to participate in negotiating the Code of Conduct on the East Sea (COC), aiming to ensure a peaceful, stable and rational East Sea based on common principles and standards.
Vietnam also introduced candidates and sent experts to participate in international judicial mechanisms, including the International Court of the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), promoting the fair and progressive interpretation of UNCLOS.
