On the morning of November 3, in the area of Ong Da stream, Thai Chan Son village, Thuong Duc commune, Da Nang city, a serious landslide occurred, killing a resident.
At about 8:00 a.m. the same day, Thuong Duc Commune Police received a report of a landslide that stretched about 2km, about 5km from the residential area. At the time of the incident, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Binh (born in 1985, residing in Truc Ha village, Thuong Duc commune) was searching for livestock to raise near Ong Da stream when he was buried by rocks and soil and died on the spot.
Immediately after receiving the news, Thuong Duc Commune Police, local security forces and people quickly organized a search and brought the victim's body home, supporting the family in arranging the burial according to local customs.
The commune government and relevant agencies are making statistics and assessing the landslide situation in the area to have a warning plan to ensure the safety of the people.
