On April 13, the Military Command of An Giang province organized the opening ceremony of the training class for officers and professional soldiers of the Military Command (CHQS) of communes, wards, and special zones in 2026.
More than 500 comrades participating in the training class are commanders, deputy commanders, political commissars, and assistants of departments of the Military Commands of communes, wards, and special zones in the province. The training class is organized in 2 phases, each phase of 4 days, taking place in April 2026.
Speaking to direct at the opening ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Van Hien - Deputy Commander cum Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command - emphasized: the training class aims to unify the basic contents of military and local defense work; improve the capacity to advise and organize the implementation of tasks for the contingent of commune-level Military Command cadres to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation. The comrade requested the Organizing Committee and the training staff to carefully prepare the content and program; organize and operate the training class tightly and scientifically, ensuring absolute safety.

For officers participating in the training, Colonel Nguyen Van Hien requested to uphold the spirit of responsibility, overcome difficulties, strictly comply with military discipline, regulations of the Organizing Committee; actively research, exchange, and flexibly apply to practical work at the grassroots level after the training ends.
According to the plan, the training content focuses on key issues such as: building a system of combat readiness documents; organization, training methods, exercises; work on selecting and calling citizens to enlist; building and managing the militia and self-defense forces; Party work, political work; logistics and technical work... Thereby contributing to improving the overall quality and combat readiness of grassroots armed forces, meeting the requirements of local defense and military tasks in 2026 and the following years.
