The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province has just issued a plan to participate in the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival in 2026 in Khanh Hoa province with the theme "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Cham ethnic group in Lam Dong province in the new era".
The festival takes place from June 26 to 28 in the Square - 16.4. Monument area. This is an opportunity for Lam Dong to introduce the unique cultural values of the Cham people, and at the same time contribute to raising awareness about the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural heritage.
The highlight of the Lam Dong delegation is the performance program, introducing excerpts of the festival and traditional cultural activities of the Cham ethnic group. In which, the ritual of appointing a master of the Kadhar sect will be recreated, helping the public understand more about the religious life of the Cham Balamôn community.
In addition, the province will organize a 63m2 Cham cultural display space, introducing images and artifacts about cultural life, relics, temples, heritage conservation work and OCOP products produced by the Cham people. Video screenings promoting relics and typical festivals of the Cham people are also implemented within the framework of the event.
Artisans will directly demonstrate traditional brocade weaving and pottery making, giving visitors the opportunity to learn about long-standing handicrafts associated with the life of the Cham community.
In the field of art, the Lam Dong delegation participated in the Mass Arts Festival and performed Cham ethnic costumes with the theme "Soul of the Tower Land", including many singing, dancing, instrumental performances and fashion shows imbued with national cultural identity.
In addition, the delegation also participated in sports activities, folk games and community tourism skills performances. The province also selected 50 digital photo files and 5 documentaries about Cham culture to participate in the multimedia installation art space "Cham Colors - Convergence and Spreading".
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, participating in the Festival not only contributes to promoting the image of Cham culture in the locality but also strengthens cultural exchange, consolidates the great national unity bloc and spreads the value of traditional heritage in modern life.
