On May 20, the Office of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province said that the locality is implementing the Project "Management, protection and promotion of the value of intangible cultural heritage of Cham pottery art" for the period 2025 - 2028 and the following years to preserve the traditional cultural values of the Cham people.
According to the plan, agencies, units and localities will promote the content of the project to officials and people, especially the Cham ethnic community - the subject of preserving and practicing heritage.
Raising awareness and responsibility in preserving national cultural identity is considered an important task in the coming period.

Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Viet Hung requested units to proactively develop implementation plans for each year and the entire period; and at the same time integrate resources from the State budget, socialization sources and other legal sources to implement the project effectively and in accordance with regulations.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to be the focal agency to monitor and inspect the implementation of the project; organize inventory, collection, document heritage and build a database on the pottery art of the Cham people.
In addition, the cultural sector will coordinate to guide the community to practice heritage, and open training and vocational training activities for the younger generation.
The locality will also build dossiers to propose considering awarding the titles of People's Artisan, Meritorious Artisan to individuals who have made many contributions to preserving the traditional pottery art of the Cham people.
The industry and trade sector supports product promotion, applying science and technology to production to improve quality and diversify products while preserving traditional cultural characteristics.
Trade promotion and tourism promotion activities associated with Bau Truc pottery village will also be promoted to spread the cultural values of the Cham people to domestic and foreign tourists.
Through the project, the locality expects that the pottery art of the Cham ethnic group will continue to be preserved and promoted effectively in modern life, contributing to removing the heritage from the List of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection.
