On the morning of April 14, 2026, at Ngo Van So Secondary School (Lao Cai ward, Lao Cai province), activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day took place in a vibrant atmosphere, attracting a large number of students and officials and teachers to participate.
With the theme "Reading Culture - Knowledge Foundation for a Learning Society and Sustainable Development", the program not only creates a useful playground but also contributes to arousing reading habits in the school environment.

In the green space of the school grounds, centralized reading activities are organized in an open, close and friendly manner.
Each group of students together chooses books, shares content, exchanges feelings, creating a vivid picture of reading culture - where knowledge is accessed naturally and excitedly.
Not only stopping at reading, the program also aims to form proactive thinking to access knowledge for students.
Through each page of the book, children not only accumulate knowledge but also nurture their souls, practice self-study skills, critical thinking and the ability to explore the world around them.

The highlight of the activity is the companionship of the teaching staff. Not standing outside the role of observation, teachers directly participate with students, orienting the selection of suitable books, suggesting content and inspiring reading. This interaction contributes to building a positive educational environment, where reading is no longer a task but becomes an intrinsic need.
In the context of strong digital transformation, as electronic devices increasingly dominate, maintaining and developing traditional reading culture becomes urgent.

Through the program, the school sends a clear message about the role of books: not only a source of knowledge but also a foundation to help each individual develop comprehensively.
Reading to understand - Reading to grow up - Reading to build the future" - the program's message has been spread strongly, receiving positive responses from students.
Many children expressed excitement when they were exposed to many good books, and at the same time realized the practical value of reading in learning and life.
It can be seen that such practical activities are gradually contributing to forming a reading habit among students, building a sustainable reading culture in schools in Lao Cai.
This is also an important foundation to move towards a learning society, where knowledge is spread and develops continuously.
The program closed, but the aftertaste still spread, not only in the school grounds but also in the awareness of each student. Each page of books opened is a door to knowledge, each day of reading books is a step forward on the journey of maturity.
