Located near National Highway 24, about 5km from the center of Mang Den commune, the residential area is located in a large valley, surrounded by mountains and Nuoc Long stream. The area includes three villages Kon Vong, Kon Kia and Kon Pec, which are the long-standing residence of the Mo Nam people, a branch of the Xo Dang ethnic group. The space here impresses with pine hills, terraced fields and a cool climate all year round.
The main attractions include terraced fields, Ngoc Trong grass hills, Ngoc Pong grass hills and a suspension bridge system across the stream. In the afternoon, the grass hill area becomes a place to watch the sunset, attracting many tourists to take photos and experience a peaceful space.
Local people actively develop community tourism. Many households invest in homestays, combining accommodation services with local life experiences such as farming, fishing, picking vegetables, gong performances, xoang dances. This activity helps increase interaction between tourists and the community.
Promotion work is promoted on a digital platform, contributing to bringing the image of Kon Vong Kia closer to the tourism market. The number of visitors increases steadily, especially on weekends and holidays.
Tourism infrastructure is gradually being improved. People contribute to building communal houses, expanding roads to grass hills, building huts and service areas. Basic amenities are added to enhance the experience.
The whole village currently has 14 homestays operating, 3 establishments under construction. Besides tourism, the locality develops agricultural production with more than 1.2ha of cold-dried vegetables applying high technology. Revenue from tourism reached more than 1.1 billion VND in the recent period.
Kon Vong Kia is aiming for a provincial-level community-based tourism village model, combining ecology and experiential agriculture. Infrastructure continues to be invested, creating a foundation for sustainable development.
