In order to effectively implement the sustainable poverty reduction target for the period 2021 - 2025, Tuyen Quang province has mobilized and allocated trillions of VND from national target programs and local budget sources, synchronously implementing many key projects aimed at improving infrastructure, improving people's lives and livelihoods, especially in remote and isolated areas, and ethnic minority areas.
These resources are prioritized for investment in socio-economic development projects in particularly difficult areas; Supporting housing, land, domestic water, education, health and sustainable livelihoods for poor households.
According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tuyen Quang province, in the period 2021 - 2024, Tuyen Quang has reduced the poverty rate by 13.26%.
Before the merger on July 1, 2025, Ha Giang province also achieved many positive results when the number of multidimensional poor households at the end of 2024 decreased to 69,740 households (36.35%), a decrease of 11,711 households compared to the previous year, corresponding to a decrease of 6.26%, exceeding the set target.
The total mobilized resources of Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang provinces in the period 2021 - 2025 reached over 64,000 billion VND, showing the determination and consensus of the Party committees, authorities and people of the two localities in implementing national target programs, creating clear changes in poverty reduction work.
At the meeting of the typical advanced delegation in ethnic minority areas of Tuyen Quang province on December 24, Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minority Affairs and Religious Affairs Nguyen Hai Trung emphasized that the opinions and recommendations of typical advanced delegates of Tuyen Quang province show the particularly important role of the team of reputable people, village officials and the young generation in bringing the Party and State's guidelines and policies into life.
Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs Nguyen Hai Trung affirmed that the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs will continue to accompany localities, including Tuyen Quang province, to review and improve mechanisms and policies in the direction of sticking to the grassroots level, putting people at the center, prioritizing supporting sustainable livelihoods, developing the collective economy, preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups;
At the same time, creating conditions for young people and women in ethnic minority areas to have more opportunities to study, start businesses and contribute right in their homeland.
