Long An signs cooperation agreement, launches cultural friendship and exchange week in China

At the invitation of the People's Foreign Friendship Association of Lieu Ninh province, the Long An Provincial Friendship Delegation, led by Mr. Mai Van Nho - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman in charge of the Provincial People's Council, Chairman of the Vietnam - Central Provincial Friendship Association of Long An province - began a friendly visit to China from May 12 to May 16.

Information from the delegation of Long An province in China on May 14 said that in the framework of the business trip, on the afternoon of December 12, the mission had a meeting and attended the signing ceremony of friendly cooperation between Long An and Liaoning provinces.

At the social welcoming ceremony, Mr. Can Quoc Ve - Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Minister of Propaganda of Lieu Ninh province - introduced Lieu Ninh province in an overview and said that the province is focusing on promoting international cooperation and cultural exchange towards the goal of comprehensive and sustainable development. He identified that Long An has agricultural products that Liuzhou province really needs, thereby being able to export to Liuzhou and expand to Northeastern provinces of China as well as export to neighboring countries.

At the meeting, Mr. Mai Van Nhieu said that Long An is the gateway to the Mekong Delta, playing a role in connecting Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces in the Southwest. In recent years, Long An has emerged as one of the leading dynamic investment attracting localities in Vietnam, with a sustainable development orientation based on three pillars: high-tech industry; urban, logistics; high-tech agriculture. Long An province wishes to exchange experiences and cooperate from Lieu Ninh province, while promoting import-export development, investment in areas such as industry, training high-quality human resources, modern urban management and cultural - tourism exchange.

Within the framework of the meeting, the leaders of the two provinces witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the Hao People's Association of Liaoning Province and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Long An Province.

Next, on the morning of May 13, the delegation of Long An province participated in the launching ceremony of "Friendship Week of Long An Province (Vietnam) - Liaoning Province (China)" by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Liaoning Province and the People's Committee of the People's Committee of Liaoning Province in collaboration with the Union of Friendship Organizations of Long An Province. The Friendship Week will take place in Tham Duong City and Dai Lien City, including signing activities of cooperation, cultural and tourism exchanges, connecting businesses, experiencing intangible cultural heritage and promoting commercial economic cooperation, towards promoting actual and sustainable cooperation between the two localities.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Luu Khac Ban - Deputy Mayor of Tham Duong City - highly appreciated the spirit of openness, cooperation and strategic vision of the leaders of Long An province in promoting exchanges and connecting with localities of China. He said that Tham Duong city has a special strength in advanced equipment manufacturing industries, software, automobile and electronics, and is an attractive destination in the modern industrial development strategy and smart urban. Deputy Mayor believes that, through exchange activities, cooperative relations between Long An and Tham Duong city will be constantly strengthened and developed on a reliable and effective platform, the two sides are mutually beneficial.

Speaking with the government of Tham Duong city, Vice Chairman in charge of the People's Council of Long An province Mai Van Duoc expressed his hope that the two sides would continue to expand specific cooperation opportunities, especially in areas of strength such as urban development, business connections and people-to-people exchanges, to create a foundation for a substantive, stable and long-term cooperative relationship.

According to the plan, the Long An Provincial Delegation will continue to Dai Lien City, where the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Conference will take place - an important highlight in the working program in China.
