Attractive in the eyes of investors
According to the announcement of the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) in 2024 on May 6, Long An province ranked 2nd in the ranking of localities with the most reformed during the 20 years of implementing PCI in Vietnam (2005 - 2024).
According to the Long An Province Investment Promotion and Support Center, this achievement is not only the result of strategic solutions to improve the investment and business environment, but also a testament to modern management thinking, taking businesses as the center, accompanying and serving. During that process, the province has persistently promoted administrative reform, improved transparency, improved infrastructure, developed human resources, ensured security and order and promoted digital transformation in the provision of public services.
Regarding the provincial competitiveness index (PCI) in 2024, Long An continued in the local group of high quality of economic management, with 72.64 points (up 1.7 compared to 2023), ranked 3rd on the PCI rankings nationwide. The results affirmed the comprehensive efforts of the province in improving the business investment environment, making the province a bright and attractive spot, attracting large domestic and foreign investors as well as the quality of provincial economic management to continue improving.
From 2023, the province will evaluate the Department, Sector and Local Competitiveness Index (DDCI) to assess the economic management capacity of departments, branches, sectors and district-level People's Committees to improve the quality of socio-economic management of the province.
Along with implementing the assessment of the DDCI Index, in recent times, Long An province has also promoted domestic and foreign investment promotion activities to promote potential, advantages, image, and open and attractive investment environment to investors and partners.
In particular, provincial leaders proactively introduced to large domestic corporations and investors and directly to many countries around the world to approach and invite large corporations and enterprises to invest in the province. This is also an important factor in creating an attractive investment environment in the eyes of investors.

With new and creative ways of promoting investment, in 2024, Long An is honored to be in the Top 10 most attractive localities for large enterprises. As of the end of the first quarter of 2025, Long An province has 2,278 DDI projects with a registered capital of more than VND 511,000 billion and 1,409 FDI projects with a registered investment capital of USD 12,783.6 million.

According to the Long An Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Center, with the viewpoint of "Long An Provincial Government continues to accompany and develop with businesses", in recent times, the province has focused on directing departments, branches and localities to promote administrative reform, especially in the fields of investment, business registration, land, construction, and environment; promoting comprehensive digital transformation, contributing to improving the quality, publicity, and transparency in providing online public services to serve businesses and investors with increasingly better quality. In 2024, Long An's transparency index reached 6.63 points, up 0.64 points compared to 2023. This is also one of the bright spots demonstrating the province's commitment to accompanying and supporting businesses.
In particular, every year, provincial leaders regularly organize conferences to meet with businesses, promptly listen, grasp the thoughts and aspirations, and remove difficulties for businesses.
With the synchronous implementation of solutions to improve PCI, support businesses, the province's investment environment is increasingly open and transparent, bringing peace of mind and confidence to businesses and investors, helping the province continue to maintain its position in the leading group in the country in attracting investment.
In the coming time, the province will continue to effectively exploit competitive advantages, promote the role of regional linkages, upgrade infrastructure, reform administration, innovate thinking and methods in investment promotion, proactively contact, provide information to large and potential investors; digitize and publicize information documents about the province. These are solutions that the province identifies as a strategic breakthrough to strongly improve the investment and business environment, helping the province get closer to domestic and foreign startups.
