On April 29, information from the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society said that the unit had just organized a direct bridge point for the launching ceremony of the 2026 Humanitarian Month launched by the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society.
At the program, many practical support activities were implemented, contributing to taking care of the lives of people in difficult circumstances in the area. Specifically, the organizing committee awarded 65 livelihood scholarships (12 million VND/scholarship) to poor households affected by natural disasters; awarded 56 scholarships (5 million VND/scholarship) to poor students at all levels.

In addition, the program supports the construction of 3 Red Cross houses with a total value of 300 million VND; awarding an additional Red Cross house worth 70 million VND supported by the Nghe An Provincial Cooperative Alliance.
In addition, schools in key disaster areas in the province were also awarded first aid equipment, contributing to improving response capacity when risks occur.
The total value of activities at the launching ceremony reached nearly 1.153 billion VND.
Notably, within the framework of the program, the organizing committee started construction of the Red Cross house for the family of Ms. Vi Thi No, a poor household in Luu Phong village, Tuong Duong commune.
Sharing at the program, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society Nguyen Luong Hong emphasized that Humanitarian Month is not only a journey of giving, but also a journey of connecting and spreading the spirit of sharing in the community.
With the messages "80 years - Humanitarian Journey" and "Community of Compassion - Connecting Love", Humanitarian Month 2026 in Nghe An is expected to continue to mobilize social resources, join hands to support difficult circumstances, contributing to ensuring social security in the area.
