On April 8, a working delegation of the 16th Corps led by Colonel Trinh Pham Hoa - Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Commander of the Corps visited, encouraged and presented financial support to families of contractor households of Regiment 720 whose houses were burned down.
The support contributes to helping the family overcome difficulties early, stabilize their lives, and feel secure in working and producing.

The house fire occurred at noon on April 3rd in Tan Binh village, Quang Tan commune, Lam Dong province. Mr. Lai Van Hai's family is a contractor household of Production Team 7, Regiment 720. At the time of the fire, all family members were working in the garden, no one was home.

Discovering the fire, people urgently shouted and deployed initial firefighting measures. At the same time, they reported to functional forces and local authorities to promptly organize rescue.
Upon receiving the information, Regiment 720 mobilized officers, soldiers and vehicles to coordinate with the government and people to deploy fire fighting plans and control the fire.
However, the fire broke out fiercely, spread quickly and completely burned down the house and many valuable assets.

Total estimated damage is nearly 2 billion VND. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any casualties.
Sharing the heavy losses and damage to the family, Colonel Trinh Pham Hoa - Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Commander of Corps 16 cordially inquired, encouraged and directly presented 90 million VND from the support source of Corps 16.
At the same time, he requested Regiment 720 to continue to pay attention, proactively mobilize resources, organize support for working days and materials, to help families soon overcome the consequences, stabilize their accommodation and feel secure in working and producing.

On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Duc Minh Tri - Director of Dak Nong Branch of Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade, presented 20 million VND in support; Regiment 720 provided an additional 30 million VND in support, and at the same time mobilized officers and soldiers to participate in helping with labor days to build and repair houses for families.
The timely and practical support of the 16th Corps and units and localities has shown a spirit of responsibility, affection, and deep military-civilian solidarity, contributing to building a stable and sustainable development area.
