Previously, at about 4:40 pm on March 6, the DK1/10 offshore platform on Ca Mau shoal observed a fishing boat running at high speed towards the offshore platform. At 5 pm, the fishing boat with registration number CT 99399 TS approached and requested the offshore platform to provide medical support for a fisherman who had a labor accident. The victim is Huynh Van Hieu (born in 2002, from Khanh Binh Tay Bac commune, Ca Mau province), who had an accident while fishing.
After the fishing boat docked at the rig, the Party Committee and Command of the rig sent a military medical team to directly check the patient's condition and guide the victim to the unit's medical room to perform initial first aid.
Through examination, the patient had a penetrating chest wound caused by a sharp object stabbing in, gasping out of the wound's mouth; and also had a soft tissue open wound in 1/3 of the inside of the left arm. The patient was in a state of shortness of breath, swelling, pain in the left chest and left shoulder,..
Immediately after that, the military medical team proceeded to inject supportive drugs, anesthesia, bandage the chest wound and stitch the wound in the left arm. After about 1 hour of emergency treatment, fisherman Huynh Van Hieu was awake, able to contact and respond, and his health gradually stabilized.

Fishing vessel CT 99399 TS is captained by Mr. Tran Van Ty (born in 1980), with 12 crew members on board. The ship owner is Mr. Do Trong Hieu (born in 1969), from An Hiep commune, Vinh Long province.
After first aid and bandaging, the rig provided antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-edema, pain relief and body support, and at the same time instructed the captain to quickly maneuver to the nearest medical facility to continue treatment.
