According to the Dien Bien Provincial Electronic Information Portal (TTĐT), on June 23 and 24, a delegation from the Command of Military Region 2 led by Major General Nguyen Dang Khai - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Military Region comprehensively inspected the results of military and defense tasks in the first 6 months of 2026 at the Military Command (CHQS) of Dien Bien province and Regiment 82 (Division 355).
Working with the working delegation were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Luong; Colonel Trinh Duc Thiem - Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Colonel Vuong Dinh Hoa - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, along with representatives of departments, agencies, branches and some communes and wards.

Through inspection, the working group assessed that the Provincial Military Command and Regiment 82 have thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the directives, resolutions, and orders of superiors; strictly maintained the combat readiness regime; firmly grasped the local situation, proactively advised on effectively handling situations, and not been passive or surprised.
The inspection team comprehensively inspected all aspects of advisory, political, logistics - technical work; combat readiness work; building regularity and managing discipline.
Political training and education work is organized tightly and on schedule. Regular building discipline and management are strictly maintained. Logistics and technical work well meet the requirements of regular and unexpected tasks. Units also actively promote administrative reform, application of information technology and digital transformation in management and administration.
Concluding the inspection, Major General Nguyen Dang Khai praised the results achieved by the Dien Bien Provincial Military Command and Regiment 82 in the first 6 months of the year. At the same time, he requested agencies and units to continue to strictly maintain the combat readiness regime; proactively grasp the situation; improve the quality of training, build regularity, manage troops; promote administrative reform, digital transformation, and comprehensively complete military and national defense tasks in 2026.

At the conference, Major General Nguyen Dang Khai also oriented some key contents in the preparation for the Dien Bien province defense area exercise in 2026.
He requested agencies and units to proactively prepare a complete system of documents, forces, and facilities; organize training, practice, and a rigorous general rehearsal, ensuring that the exercise achieves the set goals and requirements.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Van Luong thanked the attention and support of Military Region 2 for Dien Bien province. The province will absorb the suggested contents on the preparation for the exercise, direct agencies to build a system of documents, accelerate the progress of building facilities; and coordinate in developing a plan to ensure political security, social order and safety, contributing to the successful organization of the provincial defense area exercise in 2026.
