On August 16, in Bu Gia Map commune (Dong Nai city), the launching ceremony of the "Security Camera" model and the "Community contracting for forest protection participating in ensuring security and order on the border line" model took place.
According to records, Bu Gia Map commune is a border commune with a natural area of 34,251 ha, forest cover reaching 86.92%, with about 38 km of border adjacent to Cambodia. The area is large, population is scattered, many inter-village roads pass through the forest area, posing increasingly high requirements for grasping the situation, preventing, detecting and handling incidents related to security and order.
Starting from practical requirements, the People's Committee of Bu Gia Map commune has established the "Security Camera" model with 19 installation locations, cameras and the "Community contracting for forest protection participating in ensuring security and order on the border line" model.
Through the two models, the coordination relationship between the Police, Border Guard, National Park and residential communities continues to be strengthened, contributing to building a people's security posture associated with a solid all-people national defense posture; maintaining security, order, protecting forest resources, sovereignty and border security.
According to operating regulations, the "Security Camera" model focuses on managing and effectively exploiting the camera system to serve the work of grasping the situation, monitoring the area, preventing, detecting and supporting the handling of cases related to security and order. The camera system contributes to improving the efficiency of area management, supporting functional forces in the fight against crime and law violations.
For the model "Community receiving forest protection contracts to participate in ensuring security and order on border lines", the task of forest protection is associated with grasping the local situation, organizing patrols, promptly detecting and reflecting unusual signs, law violations and coordinating with functional forces to handle arising cases. Thereby, promoting the role and responsibility of the people in protecting forests, protecting localities and maintaining security and order in border areas.
