On May 5, in Ha Tien ward, An Giang Provincial Police organized a working session with the Police forces of 5 provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia, including: Kampot, Kep, Preah Sihanouk, Takeo and Kandal, to exchange and agree on the contents of preparation for the Conference summarizing coordination work in 2025 and preliminary review of the first 6 months of 2026 in cooperation in protecting security and maintaining order in border areas.
At the working session, the two sides focused on exchanging and comprehensively reviewing the contents related to the coordination of ensuring security and order on the border line in the past time; agreed to assess the results achieved in 2025 and the first 6 months of 2026, especially in information exchange, coordination in fighting and preventing crimes, management of entry and exit, prevention and combat of smuggling, trade fraud, drug crime and other violations of the law. At the same time, frankly acknowledged the difficulties and obstacles arising in the coordination process to jointly discuss solutions to overcome them in the coming time.
On that basis, the two sides agreed on key contents, programs, and plans to organize the upcoming summary and preliminary review conference; and at the same time proposed many practical solutions to continue to improve the effectiveness of the coordination mechanism, strengthen information exchange, professional support, and promptly handle problems arising from the grassroots level, not to be passive or surprised in any situation.
Speaking at the working session, Colonel Dao Hai Dang - Deputy Director of An Giang Provincial Police emphasized that maintaining and promoting the effectiveness of the cooperative relationship between An Giang Provincial Police and Police of border provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia is of utmost importance, contributing to consolidating the traditional solidarity and friendship between the two countries, while maintaining political security stability and social order and safety in the border area.

The comrade requested that in the coming time, the police forces of localities of the two sides continue to strengthen closer coordination, proactively grasp the situation, promptly exchange information, coordinate to effectively handle arising cases, contributing to building a border line of peace, stability, cooperation and sustainable development.
