The construction of Chieng Son Ethnic Minority Boarding School (Son La) is being accelerated to be put into use before September 5, 2026.

With only more than 2 months left until the opening day, the projects to build inter-level boarding schools in border communes of Son La province are being accelerated to be put into use in the 2026 - 2027 school year. In Chieng Son border commune, the construction site is entering the final sprint phase, according to Son La Provincial e-Portal.

To be ready to welcome students to study, the contractor and construction units have mobilized maximum manpower and machinery to implement the items. Up to now, many parts have been completed in large part of the volume. Some items are installing roofs, while other buildings are being completed with plastering, painting walls, tiling and welding door frames.

The main yard area has been concreted. The internal road system in the school grounds is also being leveled and paved to prepare for the completion phase. Despite facing many difficulties in the construction process, the units still strive to closely follow the progress and are determined to complete the project on schedule.

Currently, the implementation of Chieng Son Ethnic Minority Boarding School and projects in Moc Chau district (old) is facing difficulties in manpower when 3 boarding houses were built at the same time. In addition, the heavy rain weather in the past time has also significantly affected the construction progress.

Faced with these obstacles, contractors focused manpower and resources, overcoming difficulties to accelerate progress, striving to complete items and put the project into use before September 5, serving the new school year and the opening ceremony.

To achieve the set goals, units are implementing the "100 Days and Nights Campaign" with specific progress milestones. According to the plan, by June 30, 60% of items will be basically completed; by July 30, classroom buildings and boarding houses will be basically completed; by August 5, the site will be handed over for equipment construction units to proceed with installation.

The workload is still large while time is running out, but construction units and workers at the construction site affirmed that they will strive to complete the task, ensuring conditions for students to enter the new school year on schedule.

Tightening construction discipline, enhancing the responsibility of contractors and local supervision are expected to help the project be completed on schedule, ensuring quality, contributing to improving learning conditions for students in border areas.
