VNA reported that on June 12, Standing Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee Ha Trung Chien chaired a meeting to assess the progress of investment in the construction of inter-level boarding primary and secondary schools in border communes, and at the same time directed to remove difficulties and accelerate construction progress so that the projects can be completed soon and put into use to serve the new school year.
Inter-level boarding school projects in border areas are being implemented simultaneously in Son La with urgent atmosphere.
Delegates focused on reviewing the progress of projects in Xuan Nha, Chieng Son, Long Sap, Phieng Khoai, Long Phieng and Yen Son communes. To date, Yen Son school site has reached about 86% of the construction volume; Long Phieng reached 83%; Chieng Son reached 62%; Phieng Khoai reached 56.5%; Xuan Nha reached 56.1%; Long Sap reached 50%.
Not only the above projects, the remaining 7 projects are also being accelerated. Muong Hung school site reached about 80%; Chieng Khoong reached 73%; Muong Leo reached 70%; Sop Cop reached 65%; Phieng Pan reached 60%; Chieng Khuong reached 56.8% and Muong Lan reached 53%.
Many projects recorded positive construction volume growth compared to the previous week, especially Phieng Pan increased by 6%, Chieng Khoong increased by 5% and Muong Lan increased by 3%, showing the great efforts of investors and contractors in unfavorable weather conditions.
In parallel with construction, investors are coordinating with equipment suppliers and local authorities to unify the types and designs of equipment serving teaching and boarding activities; implement procurement procedures according to regulations.
Units strive to complete the transportation of equipment to school sites before June 30 to install synchronously with the construction progress. To date, the total disbursed value of all 13 projects has reached more than 1,620 billion VND out of the total assigned capital of 2,756 billion VND.
