On August 27, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chanh Hiep ward (HCMC) held a groundbreaking ceremony to repair 5 Great Solidarity houses for households in difficult circumstances in the ward.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Ward People's Council; Mr. Pham Minh Thien - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Cong Ly - Chairman of the Ward Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, along with sponsoring agencies and units and 5 households.
Accordingly, Chanh Hiep ward organized the commencement of repair of 5 Great Solidarity houses for households including: household of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hiep (residing at No. 85/6 Nguyen Van Long street, Chanh My 1 neighborhood); household of Ms. Danh Thi Cam Nhung (residing at No. 705/77/4/3 Binh Duong Avenue, Chanh My 1 neighborhood); household of Ms. Nguyen Thi Bong (residing at No. 31 Binh Duong Avenue, Chanh My 1 neighborhood); household of Ms. Nguyen Thi Rung (residing on DX 107 street, Hiep An 8 neighborhood) and household of Ms. Luc Thi Cuc (residing at No. 705/3 Phan Dang Luu street, Tuong Binh Hiep 6 neighborhood).

On the same day, Chanh Hiep ward organized a ceremony to hand over 2 Great Solidarity houses that have been repaired and completed to Ms. Nguyen Thi Cuc's household (residing on Le Chi Dan street, Tuong Binh Hiep 2 neighborhood) and Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Bach Cuc's household (residing at No. 4/3, Tuong Binh Hiep 1 neighborhood).
The total cost of implementing the above projects is 720 million VND. Of which, 100 million VND is supported from the "For the Poor" fund of Chanh Hiep ward, the remaining funding is supported by agencies, businesses and accompanying units.
At the house handover ceremony, households expressed their emotion, excitement and sent deep thanks for the concern of Chanh Hiep ward and philanthropists.
According to leaders of Chanh Hiep ward, the commencement of repair and handover of Dai Doan Ket house is a practical and meaningful activity to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2. At the same time, it shows the spirit of solidarity, mutual affection, and the concern and care of the political system of Chanh Hiep ward for households in difficult circumstances.
