On June 6, Working Group 1531 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (National Steering Committee 389) led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Thanh Nam had a working session with the People's Committee of Kien Giang province on the fight against and repelling smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and intellectual property infringement in the province.
In the first 5 months of 2025, the functional forces of Kien Giang province discovered 184 violations, down 153 cases (45%) over the same period; of which 67 cases of illegal trade and transportation of banned goods and smuggled goods; 114 commercial fraud cases; 3 cases of fake goods; State budget collection is over 22.8 billion dong; Criminal prosecution 7 cases, 8 subjects.

According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee 389 of Kien Giang province, Nguyen Thanh Phong, in recent times, the province has strongly directed, synchronously implemented solutions, mobilized the participation of functional forces and local authorities.

The situation of violations of product advertising has not been approved by the competent authority, advertising incorrectly the nature of the product is still popular in the network environment. The illegal smuggling and transportation of banned goods are often absent, so it is difficult to capture the subjects who have plotted and lead, these subjects only remotely control or hire people to participate in illegal transportation of smuggled goods across the border. The area and area of the border are large and long, with many trails, open paths, smuggling, trade frauds and fake goods often organized with increasingly sophisticated methods and tricks; Functional forces directly do anti -smuggling work are still thin, vehicle conditions and equipment are limited ...
