Attending and demonstrating the ceremony were representatives of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Tay Ninh province and many venerable monks in the Board of Trustees, monks and nuns of pagodas inside and outside the locality.
According to the Organizing Committee, Khai Phuoc Pagoda was inaugurated in 1876 by the Vam Nhut Tao River. After two resistance wars, the building was heavily damaged by bombs and bullets. However, the wooden statue of Amitabha Buddha remains intact after the war, becoming a spiritual symbol of the endurance of the Dharma and the belief of the local people.

After the war, many generations of monks and nuns continued to preserve and restore their monastic life at the pagoda. In recent years, in the face of the increasing demand for religious activities of Buddhists, the pagoda has vowed to restore the Great Heroic Temple from 2023. The project was implemented with the design support of Buddhist dignitaries, along with the contributions of Buddhists and philanthropists.
After 3 years of construction, the project was completed with a total cost of more than 9 billion VND, contributing to creating a spacious appearance for the temple, and at the same time meeting the religious and monastic needs of monks, nuns, and Buddhists in the locality.
At the ceremony, representatives of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha awarded congratulatory wreaths and certificates of merit to recognize the contributions of monks and nuns and collectives and individuals who have accompanied in the construction process.
Speaking at the ceremony, representatives of the Executive Board of the Tay Ninh Provincial Buddhist Sangha highly appreciated the efforts of monks and nuns and Buddhists of Khai Phuoc Pagoda in preserving and promoting the cultural and spiritual values of the pagoda. At the same time, it is expected that the pagoda will continue to promote its role as a spiritual support for the people, contributing to building a cultural life in the locality according to the motto "good life, beautiful religion".
