The meeting was attended by Venerable Thich Minh Thien - Member of the Executive Council, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Advisor to the Proof of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Tay Ninh province; along with venerable members of the Standing Committee, members of the Executive Board and representatives of Buddhist religions in localities in the province.
At the meeting, Venerable Thich Le Duyen - Deputy Head cum Chief Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province reported on the general preparations for the congress. Accordingly, the Executive Committee has established 17 sub-committees to serve the organizational work, and at the same time, it is expected that the personnel of the Proofing Committee, the Presiding Judge and the list of representatives will participate in the new term of the Executive Committee.
Venerable Thich Le Tri - Deputy Head of the Executive Board cum Head of the Provincial Buddhist Education Committee also informed about the plan to organize an exhibition to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the 1st Tay Ninh Provincial Buddhist Congress.
The meeting recorded many contributions related to content work, rituals, legal affairs, logistics, offices and propaganda work to ensure the congress is organized solemnly and effectively.
Concluding the meeting, Venerable Thich Thien Thuc - Standing Deputy Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Tay Ninh province emphasized the request to urgently complete the personnel list of 17 sub-committees to issue official establishment decisions, clearly assign responsibilities to each department. At the same time, the Content Committee needs to develop a congress scenario that is concise and ensures timeliness; the presentations should focus on key contents, avoiding prolongation.
The Organizing Committee also agreed on contents related to congress identification such as gift samples, commemorative logos; delegate reception plan, accommodation arrangement; functional exhibition zoning, administrative area and activity area to ensure smooth operation during the congress.
In addition, the meeting unanimously agreed on the list of proposals to commend merits for typical individuals and collectives; at the same time, develop a plan to organize a delegation to visit the martyrs' cemetery, expressing the spirit of "national protection and people's security" of the province's Buddhism.
Speaking to direct the meeting, Venerable Thich Minh Thien emphasized that the 1st Tay Ninh Provincial Buddhist Congress is of great significance, laying the foundation for the development of the province's Buddhism in the new term. The Venerable requested that the preparation work should be carried out strictly, promoting the spirit of solidarity, inheritance and transparency in organization, contributing to ensuring the congress takes place successfully, solemnly and effectively.
