To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Pa Co and Van Kieu people being honored to bear Uncle Ho's Ho surname (June 26, 1946 - June 26, 2026), the working delegation of the Internal Security Department, Quang Tri Provincial Police, led by Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Anh Phuong - Deputy Head of Department, visited and encouraged some village elders, village heads, and prestigious people among ethnic minorities in La Lay, Ta Rut, Dakrong communes, Quang Tri province, according to the Quang Tri Provincial Police Electronic Information Portal.
At the destinations, the delegation visited and inquired about the health and life of the people, and at the same time expressed their appreciation for the contributions of ethnic minorities in building and protecting their homeland and consolidating the great national unity bloc. The delegation also acknowledged the role of reputable people among ethnic minorities in the all-people movement to protect national security.
Over the past time, reputable people have promoted their role as a bridge between Party committees and authorities and the people; actively propagated and mobilized people to comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; participated in solving problems arising right from the grassroots level, contributing to maintaining security and order in border areas.
On this occasion, representatives of the Internal Security Department presented gifts and sent congratulations to Pa Co and Van Kieu people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of being given the Ho surname by Uncle Ho. The delegation wished people to continue to promote revolutionary traditions, solidarity, self-reliance and self-strengthening spirit; promote labor production, develop family economy, build a cultural life in residential areas, and at the same time preserve and promote national cultural identity.
The working delegation also requested people to continue to accompany local Party committees and authorities in ensuring security and order; raise vigilance against plots and tricks of hostile forces, crimes and illegal acts; actively participate in the movement "All people protect national security", contributing to maintaining security and order in the area.
