On April 14, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province organized a conference to propagate and implement the 17th "For the Cause of Great National Unity" Press Award (2025-2026). Ms. Do Thi Toan - Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were representatives of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Journalists Association, Thanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio, Television, and press agencies in the area.
At the conference, representatives of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee informed about the Award regulations. Accordingly, the 17th "For the Cause of Great National Unity" Press Award (2025-2026) is organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association.
Participating works must be critical, accurately and promptly reflecting the contents of the Party's guidelines and policies; the State's policies and laws; the action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in building and promoting the strength of great national unity.

The content of the work closely follows and truthfully reflects the political, cultural, socio-economic, defense, and security situation; and at the same time expresses the feelings, aspirations and good deeds of intellectuals, intellectuals, religions, typical people in ethnic groups and Vietnamese people abroad.
The award also encourages propaganda about campaigns and emulation movements such as: "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind"; "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses", along with activities to care for the poor.
The types of press participating in the award include print newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio, television and press photos; with many genres such as research, reflection, interviews, reports, investigations, comments, essays, documentaries...

Entries must be posted from August 1, 2024 to July 31, 2026. Each author can submit a maximum of 5 entries, the group of authors must not exceed 7 people. Time to receive entries from June 23, 2025 to the end of July 31, 2026 (calculated by postmark), send to the Organizing Committee of the Award at the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (No. 46 Trang Thi, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi).
Excellent works will be considered for awards, including: Special prize 30 million VND, prize A 15 million VND, prize B 10 million VND, prize C 5 million VND and consolation prize 3 million VND.
At the conference, representatives of press agencies exchanged and discussed how to choose and exploit topics suitable to local practice; and at the same time requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province and localities to continue to coordinate and create favorable conditions for reporters to access information and deploy works.
