Spreading a smoke-free working environment in Thanh Hoa

QUÁCH DU |

Thanh Hoa - The movement to build a smoke-free working environment has been strongly spread by trade union levels, contributing to protecting workers' health.

On April 14, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation said that in the past time, the movement to build a smoke-free working environment launched by the unit has been effectively implemented and widely spread by trade union levels, contributing to protecting workers' health.

At Hop Luc Joint Stock Corporation and units under Hop Luc Health System, the "no smoke" model is implemented seriously and synchronously. After receiving the "No smoking" sign, grassroots trade unions have organized it to be posted in many easily visible locations such as waiting areas for medical examination, corridors, elevators, crowded places, contributing to raising the awareness of officials, medical staff, patients and their families.

The "No smoking" signs have become a visual form of propaganda, helping workers change their perceptions and gradually give up smoking habits at work. Limiting smoking not only protects personal health but also minimizes the impact of secondhand smoke on the community.

Not stopping at hanging signs, the content of building a smoke-free environment is also integrated into operating regulations and emulation criteria in departments and rooms. Medical staff and staff sign commitments not to smoke in the hospital premises, contributing to building the image of civilized and responsible doctors.

Reality shows that in effectively implemented units, the working environment has become healthier, the quality of medical examination and treatment has been improved, creating satisfaction for people.

The "no tobacco smoke" movement is considered a practical and long-term solution, contributing to building a safe and civilized working environment for community health.
