On May 29, the Women's Union of Van Chan commune, Lao Cai province, in coordination with socio-political organizations and the Commune Police, organized the Launching Ceremony of the model "Family branches, youth union branches without child marriage, no consanguineous marriage, no drugs" in Tap Lang village.
At the program, the Steering Committee approved operating regulations and assigned tasks to members to effectively implement the contents of the model in the locality.
People participating were disseminated legal regulations, listened to propaganda about the harmful effects of early marriage, consanguineous marriage and drugs on health, population quality, family happiness as well as the security and order situation in the locality.
On this occasion, representatives of households, women's unions and youth unions signed commitments not to have early marriages, not to have consanguineous marriages, not to violate the law and drug evils.
The activity received positive response from the people, contributing to eliminating backward customs and building a new cultural life in the locality.
