On December 31, Gia Nghia City People's Committee announced that in 2024, the City People's Council assigned 12 groups of socio-economic, defense and security targets with 34 specific goals.
As a result, the City People's Committee has deployed and implemented 33 targets, achieving and exceeding the plan assigned by the Resolution.
Notably, the total state budget revenue of Gia Nghia city last year was estimated at 1,131,683 billion VND. The total local budget expenditure in 2024 is estimated at 576,787 billion VND (Resolution assigned 560,682 billion VND).
The locality has two communes, Dak Nia and Dak R’Moan, that have reached the finish line of building advanced new rural areas in the 2021-2025 period. Notably, 100% of urban roads in Gia Nghia city have been asphalted and concreted (Resolution assigns 100%)...
Also in the past year, the whole city created jobs for 2,990 workers; provided vocational training for 616 workers; the rate of trained workers was 80%; the rate of people of working age participating in social insurance reached 44.9%...
These groups of targets all achieved and exceeded the plan of the Provincial People's Council Resolution assigned to the City People's Committee for implementation.
On the other hand, the entire Gia Nghia city has about 723 enterprises and individual production and business establishments in operation, with more than 3,100 employees.
The area has 4 hydroelectric plants, 17 solar power enterprises, 18 enterprises operating in the fields of mineral exploitation (construction materials)... thereby contributing to creating momentum for local socio-economic development.
Chairman of Gia Nghia City People's Committee Do Tan Suong affirmed that the locality will proactively remove obstacles, ensure effective capital disbursement progress, and complete the 2025 medium-term public investment plan.
According to Mr. Suong, the city also coordinated with the province's functional agencies to promptly deploy and ensure the progress of the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) expressway project.
