On December 4, at the 21st Session (regular session at the end of 2024) of the 19th term Ha Nam Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, Mr. Truong Quoc Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ha Nam province - presented a report on the results of implementing the socio-economic development tasks in 2024 and the direction and tasks in 2025.
According to the assessment of the Provincial People's Committee, in 2024, Ha Nam completed and exceeded all 16/16 main socio-economic targets, of which 8 targets exceeded the set plan.
Notably, the economic growth rate is expected to reach 10.93% (ranked 2nd in the Red River Delta region), the state budget revenue is estimated to reach nearly 17,000 billion VND, an increase of over 20% compared to 2023. The average income per capita in Ha Nam province reaches over 111 million VND, the poverty rate is reduced to 1.65%. Industrial production continues to develop.
The industrial production value in 2024 is estimated at VND 248,253.3 billion, an increase of 17.54% compared to 2023 (reaching 109.6% of the annual plan). The growth rate of the province's main industrial products ensures the annual plan and increases compared to the same period.
Trade and services in the province have changed a lot, tourism activities have exceeded the plan set for 2024. In particular, Ha Nam continues to be honored by the World Tourism Organization as "Asia's Leading Emerging Tourist Destination" in 2024, "Asia's Leading Local Cultural Destination" and "Special Achievement Award 2024". Total revenue from tourism is estimated at 3,657 billion VND (reaching 110% of the annual plan and increasing by 8.1% compared to 2023)...
Regarding the direction for 2025, the People's Committee of Ha Nam province determined the general goal as focusing on leading and directing the effective implementation of tasks and solutions, striving to complete and exceed the goals and targets of the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the period 2021-2025, and the 2025 socio-economic development plan.
The province will also implement Resolution No. 1288/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated November 14, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Ha Nam province for the 2023-2025 period.
At the same time, reorganize the apparatus of the provincial political system according to the direction of the Central Government, focusing on mobilizing and effectively using resources to promote economic growth.
According to data from the Ha Nam province electronic information portal, Ha Nam has an area of over 860 square kilometers (the second smallest in Vietnam), only 832 square kilometers larger than Bac Ninh province.
