Accompanying him was Major General Luong Dinh Chung - Political Commissar of Military Region 5.
Senior General Truong Thien To kindly visited and shared the difficulties and losses caused by floods. At the same time, he acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the local Party Committee, government, armed forces of Gia Lai province and military units of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 5 in responding to floods, search and rescue, helping people overcome the consequences of floods.
The Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army requested that military units continue to promote a sense of responsibility, closely coordinate with local authorities, mobilize forces and means to help people, support educational and medical facilities, quickly overcome the consequences of floods, and soon return to normal operations.
On this occasion, the working delegation of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army presented 100 gifts to support people who suffered heavy losses due to floods in Quy Nhon Dong and Quy Nhon Bac wards. Each gift includes 2 million VND in cash and necessities.
Military Region 5 also presented 50 gifts (VND2.5 million/gift) to people affected by floods. At the same time, Military Region 5 has also supported 5 tons of dry food for people in the three provinces of Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa.
