On September 10, the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province held a conference to review one year of implementing the "Saturday Home Village" program. After a year of implementation, the program has brought many positive results, contributing to improving the lives of border residents and strengthening national security.
According to the report, in the past year, the Quang Tri Border Guard organized more than 320 propaganda sessions with over 13,000 participants, mobilizing people to comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws. The unit presented nearly 1,000 national flags and 100 photos of Uncle Ho to the people of the villages.

In addition, officers and soldiers have worked for over 5,000 working days to help the people, deploying more than 40 key models such as rice production, animal husbandry, farming, and building civil works including the national flag road, border lights, and border gate.
The total value of the projects is about 1 billion VND. In addition, the Provincial Border Guard has inaugurated 44 Great Unity houses, houses of gratitude and coordinated to build 256 houses in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
Through specific actions, the program not only helps improve the material and spiritual life of the people but also creates a breakthrough in mass mobilization work, bringing the image of a close, attached border soldier and being trusted by the people.
On this occasion, the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province awarded certificates of merit to 3 groups and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the program "Saturday Home Village".
