On May 19, on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City organized a launching ceremony for the Tet tree planting "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" associated with the launching of the "City of Colorful Flowers" movement at Lang Le Cultural Park, Binh Loi commune.
The program demonstrates the city's determination to create a greener, more humane and more sustainable living environment for future generations.

At the ceremony, more than 500 green trees including giáng hương, bằng lăng and many indigenous trees were newly planted in the Lang Le Cultural Park area. A large number of union members, youth, people and representatives of religious organizations participated in tree planting activities, contributing to spreading a green lifestyle in the community.
Participating in the tree planting activity, Ms. Bui Thi Huong (Binh Loi commune, Ho Chi Minh City) feels excited to participate in this meaningful program with local people. According to Ms. Huong, from adults to children are enthusiastic about planting trees, contributing to creating more green space and raising awareness of environmental protection.
Within the framework of the program, activities are also taking place to introduce works in response to the "City of Colorful Flowers" movement in 2026 of the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association with many typical models such as farmer flower streets; farmer-managed alleys; colorful flower balconies, flower terraces, green houses; seedling nurseries; farmer's gardens, great solidarity gardens, flower gardens.
