On the evening of October 1, Thien Phuoc pagoda, Hamlet 5, Tra On commune coordinated with local authorities to organize a love Mid-Autumn Festival program for children in the commune.
At the festival, children watched lion dance, enjoyed many special performances, performed traditional martial arts, danced modern times and received gifts filled with love.
On this occasion, 500 local children received gifts, each portion including lanterns, moon cakes, banh kia, banh in print, sticky rice cakes, fresh milk and many other candies.
monk Thich Nu Duc Quang - Abbot of Thien Phuoc Pagoda - said that giving Mid-Autumn Festival gifts is the heart of the pagoda, wishing to bring children a warm Mid-Autumn Festival, while encouraging them to strive to study and practice well.
"In the Mid-Autumn Festival this year, Thien Phuoc Pagoda has presented a total of 3,600 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts along with 20 scholarships and notebooks to students inside and outside the commune, with a total value of 350 million VND," the monk added.
Representatives of local leaders also thanked Thien Phuoc Pagoda and benefactors for joining hands to care for the children, contributing to creating more joy and motivation for them to strive to become good students.
