On September 9, Thien Phuoc pagoda, Tra On commune, Vinh Long coordinated with the government to award more than 300 scholarships to studious students in Tra On commune, Vinh Xuan commune.
Each scholarship includes 10 - 20 notebooks and 1 million VND. On this occasion, 10 disadvantaged students also received bicycles and exercise to conveniently go to school.
The total budget of over 350 million VND was supported by Ninh Thich Nu Cuong for Buddhist mobilization and domestic and foreign donors through the Binh Minh - Thien Phuoc Education Promotion Fund.
Principal Thich Nu Duc Quang shared her hope that the scholarships will give them more motivation, help them overcome difficulties, study well and practice to become useful citizens.
Local leaders assessed this as practical support both materially and spiritually, creating more trust and determination for students, spreading the spirit of mutual love.
