On April 10, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tra On commune organized 2 delegations to visit, wish Tet and give gifts to policy households, poor households, and near-poor households who are Khmer ethnic people in the area, on the occasion of the traditional Tet holiday Chol Chnam Thmay 2026.
The delegations visited 13 households in hamlets 6, My Loi, Duc Dong, Tich Khanh A, My Trung and Cay Diep. In each place, representatives of commune leaders quickly informed about the socio-economic development situation in the first months of the year; the results of social security work, care for policy families, poor and near-poor households and Khmer people.
The delegation cordially inquired about the health and life of the families; encouraged people to continue to strive to work, produce, and rise up in life; wished a joyful, warm, safe, and economical Chol Chnam Thmay Tet.
On this occasion, each household was given a gift worth 800,000 VND including: 300,000 VND from philanthropists and benefactors and 500,000 VND in cash supported by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province.
The activity shows the concern of Party committees, authorities, and the Fatherland Front for the Khmer people; contributing to the good implementation of ethnic policies and strengthening the great national unity bloc in the area.
