On April 9, a delegation of the Provincial People's Council led by Comrade Nguyen Minh Dung - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, along with representatives of departments and branches, visited and wished Tet to Chol Chnam Thmay at Mo Neo Pagoda (Thot Cot Pagoda), Kompong Chrai Pagoda (Hang Pagoda) and Champa Boray Pagoda (Thot Lich Pagoda).
In each place he visited, Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung cordially inquired about the health of the monks, wishing dignitaries and Khmer compatriots a joyful, peaceful and happy traditional Tet.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council hopes that in the coming time, the abbots will continue to promote their role and prestige in the community, and together with the local government, take care of the material and spiritual life of the Khmer people, preserve and promote the good traditional cultural identity.

Representatives of pagodas and abbots expressed their joy at the concern of provincial leaders, and affirmed that they will continue to mobilize Buddhists to live "a good life, a beautiful religion", actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to building an increasingly developed homeland.
On this occasion, the provincial delegation also visited and wished Tet to the family of Lieutenant General Son Cang - Hero of the People's Armed Forces, former Deputy Director General of the General Department of Security (Ministry of Public Security) and Mr. Huynh Phuoc Long - former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council, expressing concern and gratitude to the former Central leaders.
On the occasion of the Chôl Chnăm Thmây Tet, Vinh Long province organized 16 working delegations to visit 156 Khmer Southern Buddhist pagodas in the area. The delegations visited and inquired about the abbot's health, presented Tet gifts, encouraged Khmer people to welcome a peaceful and happy new year and continue to preserve traditional cultural identity.
