On March 6, at Brigade 175 (Hang Vinh Commune, Nam Can District, Ca Mau Province), the Navy Museum organized the Exhibition "Heroic Vietnam People's Navy - 70 years of journey to protect the sea".
The exhibition displays more than 200 photos and 30 vivid and intuitive models and artifacts, reflecting the process of building, fighting, winning, maturing and developing the Vietnam People's Navy. The feats, outstanding achievements and noble awards of the Navy; training activities, combat readiness, defense diplomacy, patrolling and managing sea areas; the process of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern Vietnam People's Navy, firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea, islands, and the sacred continental shelf of the Fatherland.
The exhibition also introduces documents affirming the position, role and importance of Vietnam's seas and islands in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; coordination in propagating seas and islands between the Navy and ministries, departments, branches and localities; practical and meaningful actions of Navy officers and soldiers in helping people prevent, overcome the consequences of natural disasters, search and rescue and implement the program "Vietnam Navy as a support for fishermen to go offshore, stick to the sea", activities "The Navy receives the support of fishermen's children" ...
The exhibition is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Truong Sa archipelago. Especially the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Navy.
Through the exhibition, continue to arouse pride in the glorious traditions of the nation, the Army, the Navy; propagate and educate patriotism, foster the love of the sea and islands, raise awareness of responsibility, strengthen the trust and determination of cadres, soldiers and people in the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. Build a lean, compact, strong, revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern Vietnam People's Navy to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
