On August 12, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thanh Trung - Head of My Quy Tay Border Guard Station (Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard) - said that the unit is coordinating with the authorities to investigate the case of illegal transportation and storage of drugs that have just been busted.
Previously, at 7:55 p.m. on August 10, at landmark 187 in Hamlet 6, My Quy Commune, My Quy Tay Border Guard Station presided over and coordinated with the Department of Professional Affairs (Border Guard Command of Tay Ninh Province), the Southern Drug and Crime Control Task Force (Department of Drug and Crime Prevention - Border Guard), PC04 Department (Tay Ninh Provincial Police) and My Quy Commune Police caught Chau Trong Giau (born in 1999, residing in Hamlet 6, My Quy Commune) red-handed while illegally transporting drugs from Cambodia to Vietnam. The seized evidence included a block of black tape-walled boxes containing a white solid crystal suspected to be drugs, weighing about 3.668 kg.
After a quick investigation, the authorities arrested Le Ngoc Dang Khoi (born in 2008, residing in Hamlet 4, My Quy Commune) for drug possession. Khoi said he hid in the bedroom a package wrapped in black tape, inside were 4 red- members of plastic bags containing about 104 grams of drugs.
Currently, the My Quy Tay Border Guard Station and the authorities are continuing to verify and investigate the incident.
